How to Make Father’s Day Weekend a Feast of Fun in Ceres!

But wait, you say: “I don’t have time!” (insert wail of indignation here). Yes, the dreaded ‘T-word’. It’s a modern-day affliction for us all – which is why we’ve got you covered. To make it really simple, all you have to do is follow the steps outlined below and you’ll have a jam-packed, affordable, fun family weekend planned in no time! Thank us later.

Step 1. Accommodation

There are plenty of hidden gems to stay at in and around our lovely valley. Where you choose to base yourself depends largely on the size of your family, your budget and what appeals to you. Whether you’re looking for a cosy farm cottage, an upmarket boutique experience or a game farm stay, you’ll be spoilt for choice here. Instead of browsing Booking.com till the cows come home, contact Ceres Tourism and they will email you a list of all the local establishments, their contact details and pricing. Easy peasy! (You can still check them out on Trip Advisor to see who ranks best) but there’s no easier way to find what you’re looking for in the area in terms of accommodation.

Hint: Don’t forget that with the wintry weather surrounding us now, it’s best to choose a place where a roaring fire can keep you all cosy alongside a glass of your favourite tipple while you play a game of cards or a family board game.

Step 2. Eating out

If you opt to forego the self-catering route, there are a number of eateries that will see to it that you enjoy wholesome, farm-fresh fare to keep you going this weekend and power your many adventures.

Of course, you can take the ‘cheat sheet’ route again and simply whip out your trusty mobile phone to check TripAdvisor for our best local eateries OR ask Ceres Tourism to send you their list when they hook you up with suitable accommodation options to choose from as well!

Step 3. Fun and Adventure

No weekend away spoiling would be complete without a little fun and adventure. In the Ceres valley, there is lots to see and do to tick this box. Bring your walking shoes and take in one of the local trails, or better yet explore on bicycle. You have museums, art galleries and more to explore, but we’d be doing you a disservice not to mention our Father’s Day Special that will save you R100 per person on your Zipline Adventure Tour – that’s 25% discount! Make a booking now and you could soon be zipping through the fresh air on an exhilarating 1-1 ½ hour zipslide tour to get the blood flowing and put a smile on your faces. Quote “Father’s Day” and we’ll take care of the rest! Call +27 79 245 0354 now or email us at: info@ceresadventures.co.za to make a bookingI
